How long does it take to get completely set up? Top
Once you register, you should receive your welcome e-mail within 24 hours (usually a lot sooner). This e-mail will give you all the info on accessing your control panel, technical support, FTP info, and all the other important hosting information. If you are getting a new domain name, it takes it 24 - 72 hours to propagate across the internet.

Yes. You can have full, unrestricted access via FTP and/or SSH(ENCRYPTED TELNET, one time setup fee may apply for SSH) and to your POP e-mail account 24 hours a day, around the world.

What is a Virtual Domain? Top
A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.your-name.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@your-name.com).

The InterNIC is an independent organization responsible for holding the registration and routing of Internet domain names. Without these people it would be virtually impossible to maintain sanity on the Internet.
Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"? Top
Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.
Do you offer dial-up Internet access? Top
No, we do not offer this service.
Do you handle the domain registration process for .com, .net and .org domains? Top
Yes. Once your account is paid for, we handle the entire domain registration process - AT NO COST TO YOU OF COURSE. Please DO NOT submit a registration or modification template to the InterNIC as this will only delay the process.
Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers? Top
Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for InterNIC to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When InterNIC announces the completion of the transfer there is a 72 hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site until they update their DNS.
How long does it take before my domain name is active? Top
Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.
How do I transfer files to my web site ? Top
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you need FTP, mail, or other Internet software, visit Shareware.com. Shareware.com is a source for the latest Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. An FTP tutorial is also available for beginner users who may not be familiar with FTP.
Will I have unlimited access to update my pages ? Top
You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.

How long does it take to set up a new account ? Top
New accounts are generally set up within 24 hours or less (mostly less) from the time we receive your order. Once an account is set up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including your user-ID, password, and FTP hostname. You can begin uploading files to your new web site immediately. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification.
Can I subdivide my space and resell it? Top
Yes, we do allow you to create subdirectories which you can use to offer friends or clients space as long as its within our policy guidelines.
Can I register additional domains to point to a subdirectory within my main domain? Top
Yes,
Top Level SubDomain (domain.com pointing to subdirectory of your main account) is available on the Cpanel servers. You can purchase a domain name at christian-domains.com (or any registrar of your choice). Once you get your domain name you will need to fill out a Web Support ticket (http://awhelpdesk.com/index.php?department=4 ) and request that we add your new domain name to the DNS tables for the server. You can then set up the additional domain through your Cpanel control panel.
Can I have additional domains pointing to the same main page as my main domain? Top

Are third level domains available (anyname.mydomain.com)? Top

Yes, We can give you a third level domain name such as yourname.hostingcheck.com or if you have an existing domain with us anyname.yourdomain.com. Sub Level SubDomain (something.domain.com pointing to subdirectory of your main account) for your account - available with Cpanel servers only. The number of Sub Level SubDomains available depends on which plan you choose..
