  6. Do you offer service outside of the U.S.?   Top
Yes, we currently service clients in sever different countries, and we can host any foreign domain extension.

  7. What is a Virtual Domain?   Top
A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address domain name (www.your-name.com) and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@your-name.com).

  8. Do you offer dial-up Internet access?   Top
No, we do not offer this at this time. .

  9. Do you handle the domain registration process for .com, .net and .org domains?   Top
Yes. Once your account is paid for, we handle the entire domain registration process - AT NO COST TO YOU OF COURSE. Please DO NOT submit a registration or modification template to the InterNIC as this will only delay the process.

  10. Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers?   Top
Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. You should keep the service with your current provider while waiting for InterNIC to complete the transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be accessed from your current site. When InterNIC announces the completion of the transfer there is a 72 hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site until they update their DNS.

  11. How long does it take before my domain name is active?   Top
Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.

  12. How do I transfer files to my web site ?   Top
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). If you need FTP, mail, or other Internet software, visit Shareware.com. Shareware.com is a source for the latest Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. An FTP tutorial is also available for beginner users who may not be familiar with FTP.
    We recommend WS_FTP.

Due to people having such a hard time trying to transfer their domain name we have a policy about how Church Webs Network will transfer a domain name. First you must go to www.christian-domains.com and click on My Account then click on Create a New Account.

After you have created an account fill out a tech ticket and give us your Customer # or Login Name and your Password. We will then transfer your domain name in to your own account where you can do what you like with it.

Note: Once you have done this your domain name will no longer be free with your account.
